01/23/2023: Zoom-Canvas integration degradation {RESOLVED}

Update [Posted at 3:04pm ET]

After extended monitoring, this issue has been resolved.  Thank you for your patience while Zoom worked to fully resolve this issue.

Update [Posted at 10:00am ET]

Zoom has implemented a fix for the issue affecting its Canvas integration.  Zoom engineers continue to monitor the situation as they confirm that the issue has been fully resolved.

Original Message [Posted at 9:33am ET]

At approximately 9:15am, Zoom sent out a notification that one of the major components of their Canvas integration was experiencing issues.  This issue reportedly began around 1:00am this morning, 1/23/2023 and Zoom engineers have been working diligently to resolve it.  They have identified the issue and are currently working on a way to fix it.  Please see Zoom's incident report for more information.

While Zoom is working on a resolution, some FSU users may be unable to access the Zoom in their Canvas course site.  Instructors may want to consider creating a temporary Zoom meeting and sharing that Meeting ID and/or meeting URL so users can access class meetings during this time.

Please note that this issue presents to users as an error message in Canvas which states that you have not activated your official FSU Zoom account.  An example image is provided below.
