09/30/2019: Canvas Community Feedback Recommendations

Florida State University understands that there is room for improvement within Canvas. Listed here are some notable ideas being proposed for Canvas integration. Please browse through each idea, and Vote Up if you feel it will be of use for teaching purposes.

  • Ability to disable assignment submission comments
Especially helpful in courses with more than one user listed as teacher, this idea allows the option to prevent students from making submission comments when they submit their assignments.
  • Adjust all assignments and quizzes on a single page
Allows assignment and quiz due dates to be modified via an online form or downloadable .csv file that can be edited in Excel then re-uploaded into the course.
  • View notifications settings as instructor
Allows teachers to view the notification preferences of students to verify the receipt of important course information.
  • Submit at assignment on behalf of a student
This feature would allow teachers to submit assignments on behalf of individual students so that a record of all work is in the Gradebook and SpeedGrader, even if the assignment was turned in on paper.

Also, take a moment to review the previous recommendation list.

Keep checking in! There are always many ideas ready for voting.
