08/01/2019: Canvas Service Degradation [RESOLVED]

Some users may have experienced timeout errors and/or long processing times while attempting various Canvas activities between 9:10am ET and 9:35am ET this morning, August 1, 2019. This service degradation affected:

  • Course exports
  • Gradebook exports
  • Posting grades in the Gradebook
  • Hiding grades in the Gradebook
  • Canvas notifications

The issue causing this service degradation has been fixed and the Canvas system has returned to normal system status. Thank you for your patience while Canvas engineers worked towards a resolution.
