iClicker Classic: How to setup iClicker Student App Polling

iClicker Cloud is replacing iClicker Classic as the single supported iClicker instructor software for classes starting in January 2024. Visit iClicker's announcement page for more information.

Students will have the ability to use the iClicker Student app to participate in your iClicker polling sessions after following the steps below:

Step 1: Enable the Student App in your iClicker software. Please see the below article for assistance.

Step 2: Make sure the People menu in your course site is available to students. 

In Canvas, students need access to their Canvas user number (called the Student ID in the when creating an iClicker Student account). Please see the below image for reference, the iClicker Student ID is indicated by the yellow box:

The only way students are able to find their Canvas user number is by clicking on their own name in the People menu in a Canvas course site. The red arrow in the below image points to their Canvas user number, listed after /users/ in the URL:
