Instructors: How to import Kaltura media from another course

Kaltura offers you the ability to move media from one course's Media Gallery to another one with only a few simple steps.

  1. Navigate to the Course Media menu item (or "Media Gallery") of the destination course. Make sure that Kaltura's Course Media feature has been enabled in both courses.

  2. In the top-right corner, select the grey overflow button in the top right of the screen. From there, click Import.

  3. This will open a course selection window. Select the course (using the bubble next to each one) that currently has the videos and press the Import button to begin the importing process.

  4. Once initiated, all of the media content from the destination course will begin importing.This could take a few minutes or longer depending on how many media files are being brought over. Once they have been imported, you will be presented with a green banner message at the top of the page that indicates that the import process was successful.

  5. Click the [number] Media button at the top of the Media Gallery page to view your newly imported media.
