Overview
You can add a rubric to a Classic Quiz or New Quiz to help students understand expectations for the quiz and provide transparency around how you intend to score it. Rubrics can also be added to quizzes when you have an outcome inside of the rubric that you wish to use for alignment purposes. Rubrics can also be added to graded discussions and assignments.
Step to add a rubric to a quiz
- Open Quizzes from the course navigation menu.
- Click on the name of the quiz.
- Click the Options (three vertical dot) icon to expand the menu and select Show Rubric.
- Click the Add Rubric button.
- Click the Find a Rubric link to select an existing rubric.
-
Select the desired rubric from the list of available rubrics.
- In the first column, select a course or account.
- In the second column, click the name of the rubric you want to connect.
- To finalize the selection, scroll to the bottom of the rubric and select Use This Rubric.
Note: If you can't find an existing rubric to use for the quiz, you can create a new rubric for your quiz, which are then saved in your course for future use.
Students will be able to see a Show Rubric link in the upper right corner of the Submission Details page when viewing an assignment.
