How to create a RegisterBlast test registration link in Canvas

Overview

RegisterBlast is a specialized scheduling platform used at Florida State University (FSU) to manage and streamline the registration process for proctored examinations. Primarily utilized by the FSU Testing Center (TC) and the Office of Digital Learning (ODL), it allows instructors to submit exam details while providing students with a centralized portal to reserve specific time slots for their tests. By integrating directly into Canvas modules, the tool ensures that students can easily access sign-up links for both in-person and remote proctoring services, helping the university maintain academic integrity and manage testing facility capacity effectively.

Exam Sign-Up Configuration

  1. In your Canvas course site, navigate to Modules.
  2. Select Add Module to create a new module and name it (ex: "Exam Sign-Up").

  3. Add a new item to the module and choose External URL in the drop-down menu.

  4. Enter the URL for RegisterBlast (https://www.registerblast.com/fsu/Exam/List).
  5. Enter RegisterBlast as the Page Name.
  6. Select Load in a new tab.
  7. Add Item.
  8. Publish the Module!

Your students can now register for your course exams using RegisterBlast!
