W. W. Norton in Canvas
The W. W. Norton integration is a comprehensive digital suite designed to bridge the gap between Norton's specialized educational resources and the Canvas Learning Management System. By centralizing access, instructors can seamlessly deploy high-quality pedagogical tools such as interactive Norton Ebooks, InQuizitive adaptive learning modules, Smartwork online homework, and ZAPS psychological simulations directly within their course site. This integration streamlines the teaching workflow by allowing for easy assignment creation and providing a single hub for course materials.
Note: This application uses the same tools that Canvas already supplies at no extra cost to the student. The W. W, Notron company, however, uses a student pay model for each W. W. Norton course, which can add significant extra costs to students.
A W. W. Norton account is required for instructors and students, but integrating the application into your Canvas course site allows instructors to provide:
- Norton Ebook Reader
- InQuizitive resources - adaptive quizzing that combines interactive questions with game-like elements
- SmartWork activities - online, self-graded homework with interactive content
- ZAPS - Online Psychology Labs
