Amazon Web Services (AWS) experienced operational issues on October 20th.  This resulted in the Canvas LMS, along with other FSU systems and service, to be down for the duration of the outage.  Other impacted tools include Kaltura, WileyPlus, and McGraw-Hill.  This should not be considered an exhaustive list, as many platforms that rely on AWS could have been impacted from this outage.

The outage occurred from approximately 9 AM through 9 PM Eastern.

During this outage, students have been unable to access their course sites to attend classes, study, submit assignments, or take assessments. We are recommending that, where appropriate, students be granted extensions on assignments and assessments due to this disruption.
