Notice: Transition to SmarterProctoring Live
Effective May 2, 2026, the Honorlock Live Pop-InĀ online proctoring service has been formally retired as the university's primary live online proctoring solution. To maintain continuity in support, these knowledge base articles remain active exclusively for the College of Nursing, which retains access to Honorlock via a specialized contract.

Overview
There are a few reasons why you may want to remove the Honorlock extension from your browser, such as:
- You no longer need the extension.
- You are switching to a different browser.
- You are concerned about privacy or security.
- You are experiencing performance issues with the extension.
How to Remove the Honorlock Extension
It takes just a few clicks to remove the Honorlock extension in Google Chrome:
- On your computer, open Google Chrome.
- At the top right, select the ellipses icon (three vertical dots) > Extensions > Manage Extensions.
- Find the Honorlock extension and click the Remove button.
- Confirm by clicking Remove. The Honorlock extension is now fully removed.
Reinstalling the Extension
If you wish to reinstall the Honorlock Chrome extension, navigate to the Honorlock Chrome Extension install page and follow the prompts. This will install the latest version of the extension. If the extension is not installed, you will be prompted to download and install the latest version when starting your next Honorlock exam.
