Hypothes.is is an annotation tool available for use in Canvas through August 2025. The use of Hypothes.is is intended to "make reading visible, active, and social." Your students can annotate course readings and webpages, encouraging them to make connections and engage with the content. For ideas on how to use Hypothes.is in your Canvas course, see this 10 ways to annotate with students resource.
Hypothes.is is available for use in all courses at FSU. Simply follow the directions for creating Hypothesis assignments or ungraded module items to get started!
Instructors please note: Hypothes.is is not currently compatible with the Canvas course import process. If you are teaching with Hypothes.is and have imported content from another course or development site, you will need to follow these directions for assignment and module items.
