You can organize your Gradebook in a number of different ways in Canvas: by student name, secondary ID, total grade, individual assignment, assignment group (if you have assignment groups set up), and assignment due date.
You can also rearrange and resize the columns in the gradebook and add assignment group weights to assignment groups (for example, to a "Discussions" assignment group).
Canvas also offers a Notes column that is not visible to students so that you can keep track of extra information in the Gradebook.
